WATERPROOFING OF WATER TANKS, INCLUDING POTABLE WATER TANKS
Waterproofing method for water tanks, resistant to positive and negative hydrostatic pressure. Finish can be left exposed
1 CONCRETE POOL STRUCTURE – CONCRETE STRUCTURE OF THE SWIMMING POOL
2 NEGATIVE-SIDE WATERPROOFING – FIRST COAT
Application with trowel of three-component thixotropic epoxy-cementitious system WINPOX CEMENT TIXO. Formulated to cure on damp cementitious substrates, suitable for internal and external use, forming a waterproof layer resistant to positive and negative water pressure and abrasion. A small fillet is created at the base of the vertical wall along with the first coat. Consumption: 2.2 kg/m².
3 NEGATIVE-SIDE WATERPROOFING – SECOND COAT
WINPOX CEMENT TIXO, applied with trowel. Consumption: 2.2 kg/m².
4 CORNER REINFORCEMENT
Application of self-adhesive butyl strip BC SEAL BAND in corners. Used together with BC SEAL PAD for sealing drains and through-pipes.
5 TANK WATERPROOFING – FIRST COAT
Application of two-component elastic cementitious premix, waterproof and protective for concrete, screeds, and plaster, suitable for potable water containment. Applied with trowel or spray after proper mixing, embedding fiberglass mesh in the first coat. Consumption: 1.7 kg/m² per mm thickness, minimum thickness 2 mm.
6 TANK WATERPROOFING – SECOND COAT
Application of two-component elastic cementitious premix WINFLEX CEMENT SUPER, waterproof and protective for concrete, screeds, and plaster, suitable for potable water containment. Applied with trowel or spray after proper mixing. Consumption: 1.7 kg/m² per mm thickness, minimum thickness 2 mm.
