EXPOSED WATERPROOFING WITH COLD-APPLIED, SELF-PROTECTIVE, BITUMINOUS MEMBRANE
Warm roof with thermal insulation panel, waterproofed with a double layer of bituminous membrane, applied cold, using Winglue adhesive, and self-protected with a layer of slate flakes
1 SUBSTRATE / LOAD-BEARING ELEMENT
It must have a minimum slope of 1%. Alternatively, a sloped screed can be created using WINPLAN 370 or WINPLAN PRO. For bonded screeds with a thickness from 1 to 3 cm, it is recommended to use WINGRIP® NEXT as a fresh-on-fresh bonding primer.
2 PRIMER
Application with roller, brush, or spray of ECOIMPRIMER bituminous primer, for a total consumption of 150–200 g/m²;
3 VAPOR BARRIER
Hot application of the COVERBLOCK 4 mm bitumen–polymer membrane, which serves as a vapor barrier and is reinforced with a glass-fiber mat coupled with rot-proof aluminum foil.
4 ADHESIVE FOR INSULATION BOARDS
Roller or brush application of the water-based bituminous adhesive WINGLUE or WINGLUE FAST, with a consumption of 0.8 kg/m².
5 THERMAL INSULATION ELEMENT
Suitable for torch application of bituminous membranes.
6 ADHESIVE FOR MEMBRANES
Application by roller or brush of the water-based bituminous adhesive WINGLUE or WINGLUE FAST, with a consumption of 0.8 kg/m².
7 Waterproofing
Elastoplastomeric (BPP) bituminous membrane COVERGUM SPECIAL MINERAL, with cold flexibility of –20 °C, applied cold using a suitable adhesive. It features reinforcement made of non-woven continuous-filament polyester stabilized with glass, rot-proof. The upper surface of the membrane is treated with natural or coloured slate flakes or ceramic granules.
