SWIMMING POOL WATERPROOFING USING WINGRIP BITUMINOUS MEMBRANE AND TILED FINISH
Waterproofing method for tiled swimming pools resistant to negative hydrostatic pressure, using an under-tile, single component bitumen-based system
1 CONCRETE POOL STRUCTURE – CONCRETE STRUCTURE OF THE SWIMMING POOL
2 NEGATIVE-SIDE WATERPROOFING – FIRST COAT
Application with trowel of three-component thixotropic epoxy-cementitious system WINPOX CEMENT TIXO. Formulated to cure on damp cementitious substrates, suitable for both internal and external use, creating a waterproof layer resistant to positive and negative water pressure and abrasion. A small fillet is created at the base of the vertical wall along with the first coat. Consumption: 2.2 kg/m².
3 NEGATIVE-SIDE WATERPROOFING – SECOND COAT
WINPOX CEMENT TIXO, applied with trowel. Consumption: 2.2 kg/m².
4 CORNER REINFORCEMENT
Application of self-adhesive butyl strip BC SEAL BAND in corners. Used together with BC SEAL PAD for sealing drains, skimmers, and lights.
5 UNDER-TILE WATERPROOFING
Application of WINGRIP® BITUMINOSO, an aqueous emulsion bitumen-based product, specially modified with high-quality fillers and polymers to provide excellent crack-bridging capacity and high waterproofing performance. Applied with roller or brush in a single coat. Consumption on screeds and cementitious substrates: 1 kg/m².
6 TILE ADHESIVE
Bonding of tiles using cementitious adhesive suitable for pool use, ROYAL SUPER SP.
6 CERAMIC FLOORING – POOL-SUITABLE CERAMIC TILES
Joint grouting with WINSTUCCO FLEX.
