RESTORATION OF CONCRETE FRONT PANELS AND DETAILING USING WATERPROOFING SKIM COATING
Intervention procedure for restoring concrete front panels and detailing, followed by a cement waterproofing membrane coating
1 ARCHITECTURAL DETAIL / FASCIA
2 REINFORCEMENT PASSIVATION
Apply WAR M, a single-component cement-based product with corrosion inhibitors for the protection of reinforcement bars, using a brush on previously cleaned metal. Consumption is 200 g/ml for bars with 8–10 mm diameter.
3 COVER RESTORATION
For horizontal and flat areas, use WR02 WINREPAIR, a flowable premixed cementitious mortar, class R4. For vertical areas, use WR07 FIBROWIN, a single-component thixotropic fiber-reinforced mortar, class R4.
4 CORNER REINFORCEMENT
Apply BC SEAL BAND self-adhesive butyl strip in the corners. Together with BC SEAL PAD, it is used for covering drains, outlets, and penetrations.
5 WALL WATERPROOFING, FIRST COAT
Apply WINTAPLAST, a two-component, elastic, colored, UV-resistant, and hydrostatically resistant mortar. Its high elasticity is maintained over time, making it suitable for large surfaces. It also has high abrasion resistance and can be left exposed. Applied with a spatula, total consumption 2 kg/m².
6 WALL WATERPROOFING, SECOND COAT
Apply WINTAPLAST, a two-component, elastic, colored, UV-resistant, and hydrostatically resistant mortar. Applied with a spatula, total consumption 2 kg/m².
