WINDECK BINDER

WINDECK BINDER is a single-component hybrid transparent resin binder with medium viscosity, formulated without water or solvents. It is specifically designed for the installation of permeable, resin-bound aggregate and rubber surfacing systems, delivering excellent durability, drainage performance and aesthetic appeal.

Its advanced hybrid technology provides outstanding adhesion to natural aggregates of different colours and particle sizes, creating seamless, decorative and highly permeable surfaces. WINDECK BINDER is also suitable for binding rubber granules used in safety flooring, playgrounds and sports surfaces.

The cured system offers excellent mechanical performance, weather resistance and long-term durability, making it ideal for both residential and commercial outdoor applications.

APPLICATION

The product is supplied ready to use.

Place the aggregates or rubber granules into a concrete mixer, then slowly add WINDECK BINDER while mixing until all particles are evenly coated.

Spread the mixture over the prepared substrate using a steel trowel and/or screed bar, then compact thoroughly to achieve a uniform layer thickness. Apply in a single coat.

INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS

For best results:

• Apply at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C (41°F–95°F).
• Protect the surface from rain, water and frost for at least 24 hours after application.
• Do not apply when relative humidity exceeds 80%.
• Existing substrate movement joints must be mirrored in the finished surface using suitable aluminium or stainless-steel joint profiles.
• Where no movement joints are present, install them where required before application.

COVERAGE

With natural aggregates:

• Approximately 2 kg per 100 kg of aggregate for binding/sealing applications.
• Approximately 3 kg per 100 kg of aggregate for pedestrian resin-bound paving.

Actual consumption depends on aggregate grading and absorption.

With rubber granules:

• Approximately 20 ±2 kg per 100 kg of rubber granules, depending on particle size.

PACKAGING

Available in pails.

STORAGE

Store in the original unopened packaging for up to 12 months in a dry, protected environment.

Protect from frost. Recommended storage temperature: +5°C to +35°C (41°F–95°F).
