BC SEAL BAND

BC SEAL BAND, self adhesive band based on butylic mastic covered with non-woven which allows the deformation of the product.

The non-woven fabric allows the product to be deformed.
The adhesive side is protected by peel off support.

APPLICATION

Sealing of wall-floor connections under tiles. The non-woven fabric covering adapts to the shape of the support and can be covered with tile glue or other cementitious coatings or elastomeric liquid waterproofing.

Waterproofing of joints. Repairs of works with cracks in concrete or fiber cement.

Check the compatibility of the putty with the various supports in terms of adhesion and chemical compatibility. The supports must be clean, dry and dust-free.

USEFUL TIPS / SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove the protector, place the band on the support avoiding the formation of air bubbles between the butyl and the support. In the case of connections, overlap the products by at least 5 cm.

The non-woven backing can be repainted. However, it should be noted that given the extreme flexibility of butyl putty, the layer of paint covering the non-woven fabric may present slight cracks.

The coatings, glues or paints that cover the non-woven fabric must be compatible with the latter.

Butyl putty is sensitive to solvents.

STORAGE

The product, in its undamaged packaging and stored in a cool and dry place, has a stability of 12 months.

Store in a ventilated room sheltered from dampness at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C.

Temperatures above +30°C can cause difficulties in releasing the silicone paper from the butyl when installing.
