High-Traffic Industrial Flooring for BRC Gas Equipment (Cherasco, CN)
In modern logistics and production environments industrial flooring is a strategic component for safety, performance, and operational efficiency.
At the Cherasco (Cuneo) site of BRC Gas Equipment, the need was to upgrade an operational warehouse with a high-resistance, breathable flooring system capable of sustaining heavy traffic, mechanical stress, and continuous activity.
Thanks to Winkler’s advanced resin technologies, the project successfully chieved mechanical performance, substrate breathability, uniform aesthetics, and –crucially – zero interruption to warehouse operations.

The Challenge: High-Traffic Industrial Flooring
The intervention overed approximately 400 m2 of active warehouse surfaces. The flooring needed to ensure:
- Resistance to frequent machinery movement and heavy traffic
- Odourless, non-toxic materials suitable for application in an operational facility
- A homogenous, breathable, and seamless surface
- Strong adhesion on mixed substrates (tiles and cement screed)
- Long-term durability without compromising aesthetics
Objectives of the Breathable Application System
The Winkler Resin Flooring Solutions division defined clear technical goals:
- Optimal adhesion on both ceramic tile surfaces and cementitious substrates
- High mechanical resistance and abrasion durability
- Breathability to mitigate moisture issues (blistering, delamination)
- A seamless industrial finish, uniform and easy to maintain
Technical Phases of the Winkler System
Substrate Preparation
- Mechanical grinding using an HTC 350 orbital machine on both tiles and concrete substrates
- Thorough removal of dust and contaminants
Proper surface preparation was essential to guarantee uniform adhesion across mixed substrates.
Priming and Consolidation
- Two coats of WINFIX FISSATIVO, with enriched 5% quartz (0.1-0.5 mm) for improved mechanical bonding
- One coat of UNIBAR T (approx. 1.5 kg/m2) for substrate consolidation
This stage created a stable, breathable foundation designed for long-term industrial performance.
Finishing and Protection
Final abrasion with a single-disc machine
Two coats of WINPAINT RAL 7035, a two-component polyurethane finishing resin
The finishing ensured:
- High mechanical strength
- Uniform industrial grey appearance
- Full breathability of the complete flooring system
Throughout the installation, Winkler’s technical specialists worked alongside the authorised installer to ensure perfect compliance with specifications.
Results Achieved
The intervention delivered:
- 400 m2 of breathable industrial flooring, ready for immediate operational use
- High resistance to heavy traffic, forklifts, and machinery
- Safe, odorless
- Application without halting warehouse activities
- A seamless, uniform, highly professional finish
- Long-term durability and moisture management stability
This solution aligns perfectly with the operational needs and standards of BRC Gas Equipment.
