Setting tiles in wet areas is currently a time-consuming process because many steps and many different products are required to complete the installation.
Waterproofing is normally the first step and it is completely separated from the tile adhesive part. Moreover, since many different materials and procedures are involved, setting tiles in wet areas it is also quite expensive.

Starting from these considerations, more than 15 years ago, our laboratory developed a new product able to drastically simplify this process.
The main concept behind this product is the possibility to have one single product (instead of 2 or more products) to waterproof and set tile at the same time.
A sort of super tile adhesive with waterproofing capability. Well, we succeeded and we launched Winkler Bond Cement: a Bi-component, water-based, non-slip flexible polymer, modified cementitious waterproofing tile adhesive.
Bond Cement is a ready to mix product used to waterproof and set tiles at the same time. Bond Cement can be applied both indoors and outdoors, for floor and wall installation, ideal for wet areas (swimming pools – bathrooms – steam shower – heated floors – terraces and more).
Ease of use, versatility, and certifications of Bond Cement
This game changing solution can be used to overlap ceramic tiles on pre-existing coatings and floors.
Bond cement requires only one coat and does not foresee the use of a mesh, saving you a lot of time.
The application is very easy, just mix the two components which are given with the exact suggested amount until you get a smooth and homogeneous paste.
Apply in one layer only. Make sure you have a continuous layer without holes underneath, in order to maintain the product’s waterproofing feature.
Please note that Bond Cement obtained all the required certifications as waterproofing layers and tile adhesive and above all it obtained specific USA certifications as green product.
